Controversial Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington in a recent statement disclosed that he has contributed more to the Afrobeats genre than the Grammy Award winner, Burnaboy.
Speed Darlington who is also known to be an Instagram influencer made this known on the podcast tagged “Be Grounded” as he speaks on his contribution to the Afrobeats success.
Undoubtedly, Afrobeats is now a globally recognized music genre and several Nigerian artistes have continued to put the country name on the world map.
Speed Darlington has claimed to contributed more to the music genre success compare to most Nigerian artistes.
Speed Darlington who said he started making Afrobeats songs in 2009 and claims to have 19 music videos utters that he used to be a music producer as he does produce some of his songs by himself including the recording.
He added that Burna Boy and other haven’t contributed as much as he did so far to the industry but they are getting more work than him, a situation he felt so much jealous about.

Berating Tems, Speed Darlington said, “Na yesterday Tems come.”
He added that when he was making music, Tems doesn’t know the meaning of having a Instagram account.
