The matter tire me – Rema reacts to Tinubu becoming president-elect

Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema has reacted to Bola Ahmed Tinubu being declared winner of the 2023 presidential election.

He used the current situation of the country to promote an upcoming song of his and said that he’s not happy with how the matter ended.

Rema decided to use the song snippet he released on his Twitter page to suggest that he want to find a way to relax and provide some relief for fans.

He shared a video of himself watching INEC’s collation of the presidential election votes and expressed anger with the outcome.

The artiste captioned; “Omo the matter tire me too, i say make I go clear my head.”

Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, announced Tinubu’s victory in the early hours of Wednesday at the National Collation Centre in Abuja.

“That Tinubu Bola Ahmed of the APC, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” Mahmood declared.

 

 

Tinubu came out tops in 12 of Nigeria’s 36 states, and secured significant numbers in several other states to claim the highest number of votes; 8,794,726.

In other entertainment news, a Nigerian man has taken to social media to troll Nigerian musician and politician, Bankole Wellington, aka Banky W following his failure to win the House of Reps election seat for Eti-Osa constituency.

Banky who ran under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lost to the Labour Party candidate, Thaddeus Attah in the Saturday election.

This is the second time he will be losing the Federal Constituency seat as he first ran with the Modern Democratic Party in 2019.

In reaction to his loss, a social media user, Oriretan Honour made fun of him, saying that his music career ended when Wizkid left his record label, Empire Mates Entertainment.

He also said Banky W faded from the movie scene when AY stopped producing the Wedding Party movie and he has lost election twice.

Oriretan urged him to pray against village people or he should let Adesuwa to be the head of the house because hustling does not favour him.

He wrote; “Banky W, ur music career went down when Wizkid left. Ur acting career went down when AY ended Wedding Party. Joined politics, lost contest twice. Why not pray fervently against ‘village ppl’ or consider house-husband let Adesuwa be doing the job & footing bills? Hustling not for u.”
