Nollywood actress, Eniola Ajao has issued an apology in a leaked voice note regarding her association with controversial Nigerian singer Portable Omolalomi.
She admits that awarding Bobrisky ‘Best Dressed Female’ was a strategic move to promote her movie, acknowledging it as intentional.
Eniola Ajao’s apology surfaced amidst the backlash sparked by her movie premiere, where the decision to award Bobrisky ‘Best Dressed Female’ drew significant criticism.
In the leaked voice note, she acknowledges the controversy and confesses that the choice was deliberate, aimed at promoting her film.
Addressing the issue in a conversation with Portable, Eniola Ajao affirmed that it was an intentional act to promote her movie.
Eniola Ajao expressed her surprise at the extent of the backlash, stating that she never anticipated it would escalate to such proportions.
She clarified that her decision to award Bobrisky ‘Best Dressed Female’ stemmed from desperation, having invested over N200 million in her new movie.
Nearly in tears, Eniola Ajao made a heartfelt appeal to the public, acknowledging her mistakes and expressing sincere remorse. She pleaded for forgiveness, hoping that her admission of wrongdoing would be accepted by the general public.
“I am so sorry; the deed has been done. It was not a mistake because I am not a child. It was an intentional act; I have spent over N200M on the film. I know everybody is upset, it was because I just wanted people to talk about the movie because I was not getting help anywhere. The help I didn’t get was why I did it. I didn’t know it would escalate to this point,” she said in part.
