We awarded Bobrisky ‘Best Dressed Female’ to promote the movie – Actress Eniola Ajao (Video)

Popular Nollywood actress, Eniola Ajao, has finally broken silence following the recent controversies on the movie premiere of her first cinematic film, Beast of two worlds (Ajakaju).

The movie, which was held on March 24 became one of the trending conversation online after the organizers of the event announced popular crossdresser Bobrisky as the best dressed ‘female’.

Many celebrities like Dayo Amusa and lots more took to their social media pages as they criticized the decision of the judges and announcer, Femi Adebayo, sparking outrage online.

However, Eniola Ajao cleared up the air during her recent interview with Arise news, revealing that the award was given to Bobrisky to promote her movie coming up on cinema on Friday, March 29.

According to Eniola, the choice was made to garner attention and generate buzz around the premiere. She emphasized that it was a deliberate move aimed at boosting the film’s visibility and attracting more viewers.

She furthered that Bobrisky was given the award, ‘Best dressed female’ because he is a controversial person.

In her words, “It was all jokes. We just want to have fun. We want people to talk about the movie. My team and I decided that it needed to be in the faces of people.”

“So we decided to give the Best Dressed Female award to Bobrisky since he has always been a very controversial person. At the end of the day, people started talking about it but some people are not happy.”

“They started calling out Femi Adebayo who presented the award. He just presented it, it wasn’t his idea, he was not part of the judges. Nigerians shouldn’t slam him, please”.

In her caption, she tendered a deep apology to Femi Adebayo, noting how nobody deserves to be in such a situation as he was only supporting a colleague, whom he considers his sister.

Eniola Ajao also apologized to Dayo Amusa and others who might have been offended about how things turned out.

She captioned the video: “Hey fam, I was on @arisenewsofficial today to promote the most-anticipated movie of the season, @ajakajumovie and I touched on the trending issue of best-dressed female at the premiere.

I appreciate all women all around the globe. You all are strong, bold, powerful, fierce, and monumental. Nothing in the world, not my decisions or that of anyone can take that away from you.

Please, guys, take it easy on my boss @femiadebayosalami, all he did was to support his sister and things went south – a position nobody deserves to find themselves in.

I apologize to him, @dayoamusa, and to EVERYONE who feels offended about how everything turned out. Please, don’t throw the baby away with the bathwater
