Popular Nigerian singer BNXN formerly called Buju in a recent statement disclosed why he found it easier to pick Burna Boy ahead of Wizkid and Davido.
BNXN and his colleague Ruger just released a collaborative album dubbed “RnB” meaning Ruger and BNXN granted an interview with Billboard news.
However, during the interview, singer Ruger showered encomium on Grammy Award winner Burna Boy for putting the Afrobeat on the world map with his stage performance craft.
According to Ruger, before Burna Boy started the live banding thing, most African artiste always hopped on stage with their DJs and that is all.
However, Ruger said Burna Boy makes Afrobeats enjoyable with the way he brings like 30 bandsmen on stage with their tools with them stressing that live music is sweeter.
He noted that Davido is also a leader that many singers choose his footsteps and same goes to Wizkid.
Ruger says; “Before Burna Boy started with live performances ,most afrobeats artist would just go with the dj and just perform , Davido is a leader ,many people follow his footsteps likewise , Wizkid too is a leader so just choose who you wanna follow. “
While Ruger heaps praises on the big three artistes, BNXN said he found it easier to pick Burna Boy ahead of Wizkid and Davido.
BNXN said in American terms they referred to Burna Boy as “He’s him” and he is truly him as his stage performance is impeccable as it shows no fault in it thereby taking the real Afrobeats sound to the global level at all times with his live performance.

big7record: The fact that alot of people want so bad to discredit the fact that burna boy brought back the life band culture to Nigerian music scene is crazy, cos in the past few years even when some of your favs did 02 Arena shows it was dj run back tract 2😂. But now people even go to rent the composers as band to perform with them just to sound good like burna & his band. You can’t discredit what everyone is seeing you can only lie to yourself 😂😂😂.
