Mavin Records signee, Boy Spyce in a video that surfaced online calls out popular Nigerian singers, Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, Tekno, BNXN and other Nigerian singers who are fond of using the name “Folake” in their lyrics.

In the video making the rounds online, Boy Spyce said they way Nigerian artistes use Folake in their song has been on his mind for a long time and its been disturbing to him.

According to Boy Spyce, he is not the type that come to social media to speak so much but this particular one, he has to express himself and wants people to judge it by themselves.

Boy Spyce who is obviously serious with the “Folake” usage by artistes in the lyrics decided to play the artistes songs one after the other.

He played Wizkid song, Pakurumo ” Folake, pakurumo, oya pakurumo, ko jo dada.”

Boy Spyce plays, Olamide Story for the Gods, “Story for the gods he gods oh. Wey Folake, Atinuke ati dupe waba mi ni benz.”

He further plays, Pheelz featuring BNXN hit song, Finesse, “Ama shana E go bright oh, Folake he go bright.”

Boy Spyce equally plays, Tekno track, Pana “Folake gimme love oh (Na you I dey play ball, oh).”

He also played, Davido’s nostalgic bop dubbed, Pere ” Folake je mefa pere (pere) Tinuke je merin pere (pere).” 

Boy Spyce concluded that he feels he is the only one left out as he also have to do a song using “Folake” as lyrics.
