Several reactions have started pouring in as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirms that actor Olumide Oworu is not the real Labour Party’s candidate in Desmond Elliot’s constituency.
Recall earlier GbExtra Blog confirms that 28-year-old Olumide Oworu will be contesting against his senior colleague, Desmond Elliot who is 49-year-old for the for membership of the Lagos State House of Assembly – Surulere 1 constituency.
Note that the anticipated Governorship and House of Assembly elections comes up tomorrow, March 18th, 2023.
However, according to the list of candidates for national election – House of Assembly in Lagos released by INEC, Olumide Oworu is no where to be found.
This comes hours after Olumide Oworu and hit team were attacked by thugs as they were about to start their rally yesterday, March 16th, in Surulere.
According to the list released by INEC, the right candidate for Labour Party House of Assembly for Surulere Constituency 1 is Adedayo Bode Oluwagbenga and that was just the beginning.
A further check confirms that Olumide is also not a registered voter in Surulere 1 where he is contesting. Olumide Oworu is registered in Lagos Mainland local government , Iponri Grammer school, Olaleye village.

I thought Olumide Oworu is the candidate representing Surulere Constituency 1 for LP in Surulere, so why am I seeing a different name; Adebayo Bode 🤔
