Nigerian music producer, Micheal Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy has hailed Wizkid for helping push Mavin Record’s “Overdose” to no.1 spot on the Apple Music Nigeria chart.
Don Jazzy took to Twitter on Wednesday to appreciate Wizkid for the role he played.
It happened that Crayon had on Tuesday shared a video where the song was playing in the background and Wizkid commented, “If I marry, play this song.”
Don Jazzy also reposted the video on his Instagram page, Wizkid also commented, “my jam”, with love emojis.
Few hours later, Don Jazzy announced that the song had reached the no.1 spot, Wizkid also shared an Instagram story with the song in the background.
Don Jazzy tweeted, “Na Baba God dey run am. This No 1 was not easy at all. Shout out to the Mavin team. Shout out to the Mavin fans. Shout out to Big Wiz for the timely co-sign. We appreciate you all. Thanks #Mavins.”
“Overdose”, which was released on May 13, 2022, was sung by some of Mavin Records signees like Crayon, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Magixx and Boy Spyce.

GbExtra Blog reported earlier that Wizkid had asked music mogul, Don Jazzy, to play his new jam, ‘Overdose’ on his wedding day.
The talented singer made the request after falling in love with the song, which featured all of Marvin record’s top talents and vocalists, including Label head Don Jazzy, afrobeat star Ayra Starr, Magixx, Boy Spyce, and “So fine” crooner Charles Chibueze Chukwu aka Crayon.
Intoxicated by the song, Wizkid said to Don Jazzy, “my jam…if I marry play this song”.
