Big Brother Naija reality star and entrepreneur, Mercy Eke, has announced that she’s one of Nigeria’s young billionaires.
The 28-years-old brand ambassador made this disclosure via her official Twitter handle on Monday, May 2.
She had taken to the platform to express her excitement about reuniting with her secondary school classmates after she was added to their WhatsApp group.
A tweep then noted that her old classmates should be more enthused about her presence because she’s a billionaire in their midst.
”I have just been added to my secondary school WhatsApp group is good to be back, lot’s of memories, I’m really happy to reunite with the girls. #EGSS 2008 set”, she wrote.
Another tweep then quoted the tweet, noting that the former Big Brother Naija housemate is in no way a billionaire. Mercy Eke immediately responded, “I am”.

This comes after she was called out on Twitter for allegedly deceiving Nigerians to win the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition of the reality TV show.
Mercy was a housemate on the 2019 season of Big Brother Naija, and she made history by becoming the first female winner.
However, a Twitter user identified as Chisom accused Mercy Eke of lying and claiming to be poor on the show in order to gain sympathy from viewers.
According to her, she discovered Mercy wasn’t poor as she had claimed on the show, after she attended Mercy Eke’s father’s funeral in Imo state yesterday, April 27. Chisom said she realized Mercy had built a magnificent building in her hometown way before she went on the show.
