Prominent Nigerian show promoter, Samson Erinfolami Balogun, known as Sam Larry, has broken his silence regarding accusations of ass@ulting and bûllying the late singer, Mohbad, which allegedly led to his de@th.
Earlier, a video had surfaced on social media showing Sam Larry att@cking Mohbad during a video shoot with rapper Zlatan Ibile.
Other videos depicted Sam Larry, a friend and associate of Naira Marley, being accused of ass@ulting and causing injuries to Mohbad.
Sam Larry faced backlash from numerous Nigerians who inundated his Instagram page with criticism, prompting him to restrict comments and deactivate his account.
In a video addressing the allegations and clarifying the situation regarding the harassment video, Sam Larry explained that Mohbad was like a brother to him, and he had a genuine fondness for him.
He mentioned that during Mohbad’s time with Marlian Records, his love and support for the artist were well-known, even by his wife.
Sammy Larry further stated that the videos of him confronting Mohbad during Zlatan’s video shoot were not recent and emphasized that he was currently out of the country.
He admitted to having had disputes with Mohbad but denied any intentions of causing harm or wishing de@th upon him. He reiterated that he had no knowledge of the cause of Mohbad’s de@th.
In response to the accusations, Sammy Larry, speaking in Yoruba, spills in video released on Friday;
“Mohbad is my brother, I like him. When he was signed to Marlian Records, he knew I loved him so much. Even his wife knows, everyone knows I love Mohbad.
“Everywhere I go, whether it is Kenya or Dubai, I will call him so that we can go together, I will pay Marlian Records for a show and we will go together.
“The videos going viral happened last year when I was not in the country. So, if we are at loggerheads, it does not mean it would be de@dly, I cannot kill Mohbad, I love him so much. God sees my heart, I love him, I cannot k!ll him, I do not know anything about the cause of his de@th.”
