“Burna Boy no longer accepts $1 million as performance fees” – Comedian Mr Jollof spills (Video)

Popular Nigerian comedian Mr Jollof in a new video said that Grammy Award winner Burna Boy is on another top level compared to other Nigerian artistes.

In the video shared via his verified Instagram page today, February 29th 2024, Mr Jollof said that Burna Boy do not accept $1million (N1.3billion) for performance fees.

According to Mr Jollof, he alongside some investors reached out to Burna Boy team and $1million was given to them only for the singer’s management to reject it revealing that it is too small.

He wrote; “Me and some investors reached out to Burnaboy team for a concert in Delta state for One Million US Dollar ( 1.3billion Naira Today’s Rate ) guess what ? They said it’s too small.

Burnaboy no dey Nigeria 🇳🇬 Lane again because we didn’t utilize him enough before he was EXPORTED to GLOBAL MUSIC MARKET. No jokes.”

Similarly, GbExtra Blog reported earlier that Damini Ogulu also known as Burna Boy revealed how he rejected a $5 million offer to perform in Dubai.

He explained that he rejected the deal because he would not have been allowed to smoke his favourite substance (weed) in the United Arab Emirates.

Burna Boy stated this in a video making the rounds on social media during a freestyle rehearsal with his band, Outsiders. Emirati law prohibits smoking in parks, beaches and all public recreational areas in Dubai.

“Just now I turned down Dubai money, 5 million dollars na small thing cos me I no dey like to dey go where dem no go gree allow me smoke igbo… Shey na till dem tell you,” he sang.
