“Wonders shall never end” – Nigerians slams celestial church for inviting Portable and Pasuma to perform at praise night program

A branch of the Celestial Church of Christ in Lagos, Nigeria, Land of Goshen Cathedral, has come under fire for inviting Fuji musician Pasuma and street-hop artist Portable to perform at its Ankara/praise night event.

Many Nigerians have expressed their disapproval of the decision on social media, arguing that it is inappropriate to invite secular musicians to a religious event.

A flier was shared on Facebook by the church’s official site and triggered massive reactions as it showed the music stars, suggesting their anticipated performance at the event scheduled for December 15th, 2023.

The Banner also showed the pastor hosting the event, Evangelist Sunday JP, and an Edo state born hip hop artiste, May Shua.

The decision quickly sparked controversy on social media, with many Nigerians expressing their disapproval.

Many Nigerians argue that the church should prioritize gospel music and invite artists whose songs align with the church’s values and teachings.
