Nigerian controversial singer Portable has appeal to WizKid, imploring him to reconnect with his roots and sing about the struggles of the past, citing that it serves as an inspiration for his own lyrical compositions.

The plea was made during a candid conversation on the Honest Bunch podcast, where Portable shared his deep admiration for WizKid’s musical journey.

In a new episode of the Honest Bunch podcast featuring Nedu Wazobia and other hosts, Portable openly expressed his admiration for WizKid’s musical prowess and his ability to effectively convey personal experiences through his songs.

Portable specifically recalled WizKid’s iconic ballad, “Ojuelegba,” which emotionally narrates the artist’s early life in the trenches before ascending to his current stature as a prominent musician.

During the podcast, Portable articulated his desire for WizKid, often referred to as Starboy, to create more music that resonates with the struggles of those who are still enduring challenges in their daily lives.

He passionately expressed that WizKid’s ability to recount his own journey from humble beginnings to global fame serves as a source of inspiration for many, including himself.

In other news, Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola,  known as Portable Omolalomi, stirs mixed reactions over his recent comment on Wizkid “Abracadabra Remix” lyrics.

A video captures Portable criticizing the Grammy winner for his verse on music producer, Rexxie’s ‘Abracadabra Remix’. Portable affirmed that Wizkid should learn how to make songs with more meaningful lyrics.

He blasted the ‘Essence’ hitmaker over the line, “ten (10) girls on my bed, all of them n@ked undressed.”
