Wizkid Emerges As The ‘Most Awarded Artiste’ In Headies History. Starboy Entertainment Boss, Wizkid breaks yet another record at the just concluded 14th Headies award as the most awarded artiste in history.
it was a great night for Wizkid at the #14thHeadies held at Eko Convention Centre on Sunday 21 February, as he emerges winner of the Artiste Of The Year category and becomes the most awarded artiste in history, beating the likes of Mayorkun, Davido, Burna Boy and Tiwa Savage, thus making Wizkid is the most awarded artist in headies history.
He also won the Viewers Choice category, making him the most awarded artist in the history of the award show, with the sum of 11 total awards, 3-time artiste of the year winner since 2012, the most by any Nigerian artist, he won artiste of the year in 2012, 2016 and 2020.
Recall, YBNL star, Fireboy DML, has made history at the just concluded Headies award night, as he equaled Wande Coal and Psquare’s record for most wins in a night. The record breaking star won 5 awards on the night.
Headies award is one of the biggest and most prestigious awards in the Nigeria music industry, launched in 2006, it is regarded as the cultural and grassroots award ceremony, honouring Nigeria hardworking artists.
