A young Nigerian man identified as Adisa Olashile, has fulfilled the promise he made to an elderly man over week ago.
The photographer, who is also a corp member, had snapped some photos of the old man he usually sees during the NYSC Community Development Service (CDS).
Adisa revealed that he monetized the amazing images by minting them as Non-Fungible Token (NFT) on OpenSea and sold them for 0.3 Ethereum (Eth) each which amounted to N1.2 million.
He promised to give 50 percent back to the elderly man, and has now shared a video showing the moment he gave the man his share in cash.
He also took the papa to the bank to deposit the money into the man’s account. In addition Adisa bought a new phone for him, gave him a portrait of the viral image and they went for a joyful ride round town.
Sharing the video, he wrote; ”Remember Baba onilu? This is the video of how I gave him is 50% of the money made from his picture that minted as nft on @opensea
NOTE: I’m not rich , I just felt baba needs the money more , nft is here to stay and I will be fine later.”
