Several reactions have started pouring as a Nigerian lady weighed in on the Ooni of Ife controversial handshakes with veteran actor Pete Edochie and actor Kanayo O. Kanayo.
Few days ago, One of the most powerful traditional rulers in Nigeria, Ooni of Ife who is 46-year-old met with 76-year-old actor Peter Edochie and Kanayo at the birthday celebration of Nigerian philanthropist and wife of Nigerian oil mogul, Tein Jack-rich, Elizabeth Jack-rich.
However, Pete Edochie has continued to receive dragging from internet users following his 3 backhand claps with Ooni of Ife as many claimed that he should have prostrated to the king.
Reacting to this, a Nigerian lady identified as Esther Sky slams the Yoruba people demanding Pete Edochie to honour Ooni of Ife by prostrating for him.
According to the lady, veteran actor Pete Edochie is a revered titled man in Igboland, noting that Yoruba people are very disrespectful for expecting him to bow for Ooni of Ife.
Fuming harder, the lady berates the Yoruba people and their culture claiming that they believe so much in eye service. She further added that the Yorubas greet people so much by prostrating and kneeling down, among others but they are full of hypocrisy as they will be the first person to clap back at the same person they have shown respect.
She however concluded, Ooni of Ife should be the one to prostrate to Pete Edochie and he need to go and apologize to him.
She said; “Yoruba people how dare you expect 76years old Pete Edochie who is a revered Titled Man in Igboland to bow down to greet the Ooni of Ife, Don’t you guys have respect, you all believe so much in eye service greetings, on a normal day it’s supposed to be the Oni of ife who kneels down and prostrates to greet the Legendary Nollywood actor Pete Edochie.”
