Cubana whose real name is Obi Iyiegbu was born on the 12th of April 1975 in Oba, Anambra state. He clocked the age of 47 in 2022. He is the fourth child and last son of his parent. There are not many details about his childhood life.

Obi Cubana is educated as he went to Central Primary School, where he bagged his First School Leaving Certificate. He attended Dennis Memorial Grammar School, where he had his Senior School Leaving Certificate.
