My favourite African artistes at the moment are Asake and Tyla – Singer, Tems (Video)

In a recent statement, Grammy Award Winner, Temilade Openiyi professionally known as Tems confirms that he is a big fan of Asake and Tyla.

During a video of her interview that surfaced online, Tems, the “Try Me” crooner was asked by the interviewer to disclose her favourites African artistes at the moment.

Responding, Tems disclosed that her favourites African artistes right now are Nigerian singer Asake and South African singer Tyla.

This video surfaced online some hours after rapper Odumodublvck raises eyebrows as he omitted Wizkid and listed his top 5 Nigerian artistes based on current activity.

Clearly, Asake in less than 2 years has already become an established artiste with 2 hit album to his names. Recently he shutdown the 20,000 capacity 02 Arena in London, UK.

Also, Tyla whose real name is Tyla Laura Seethal (born 30 January 2002) is a South African singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Johannesburg.

Tyla rose to international prominence with her 2023 single “Water”, which was a top ten hit in the United Kingdom and the first song by a South African soloist to enter the US Billboard Hot 100 in 55 years.
