A video of Kogi residents repairing a road allegedly destroy by the state governor Yahaya Bello has surfaced online which has generated mixed several reactions.
According to the reports making the rounds online, the residents repaired the road Yahaya Bello allegedly dug to prevent INEC from reaching some regions in Kogi State for elections.
However, few hours ago, informations disclosed that Yahaya Bello destroys five roads leading to opponents’ hometown to prevent INEC officials.
The Kogi State Government, on Thursday, clarified the excavation of some roads in Kogi Central, saying it is a deliberate security measure to cut off traffic on those roads with a view to restricting the use of the roads by criminals who had been breaching the peace of the area with attendant loss of lives and property.
However, in the video making the rounds online, residents in numbers decided to come as one in unity as they repairs the road making use of tractors so that INEC officials can come to do their works and people of Kogi can exercise their civic responsibilities by voting for their preferred candidates.
