Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has debunked reports that she secretly conducted DNA tests on her son, Liam Aloba.
Reports made the rounds in some sections of the media that Wunmi took the 1-year-old boy to to two different laboratory and got DNA tests done.
But in a swift reaction to the claims and accusations, the mother of one dispelled the rumours in a terse statement on Thursday, 2nd of May.
“It is a lie,” she told SaharaReporters upon inquiry.
Meanwhile, Mohbad’s father, and some concerned Nigerians have intensified calls for Liam to undergo a test to determine if the later rapper is indeed his father.
However, GbExtra Blog recalls that Wunmi, who had previously expressed her willingness for a DNA test on her son, made a U-turn on the decision.
Speaking in an audio message which surfaced online, she said was no longer open to the test, and noted that only her late husband has the right to request such from her.
Wunmi said: “Mohbad disvirgined me; nobody has the right to tell me to do a DNA test. I have never slept with any man except him. I will never do any DNA; no one can tell me to do DNA except I wish to. Koni daa fun gbogbo yin ranting about DNA.”
