Nigerian upcoming singer, Oluwabamishe Abioro, better known as Young Duu, has called out his boss and skit maker, Joseph Oderhohwvo, AKA Carter Efe, over unpaid debt.
During his recent interview with Hip TV, Young Duu, who is an ex-signee of singer Portable, revealed that he has not received any money from his single, ‘Oyinmo’, a music project he did with Carter Efe.
Recall that the 20-year-old singer accused Carter of ripping him off and taking all the credits of his hard work. Although Carter Efe revealed that he did not have any issues and have given Young Duu 30% of the project, which is N500k.
However, in the recent interview, Young Duu claimed that he did not make any dime from the song ‘Oyinmo’.
He stated that Carter Efe promised to credit him N500k but he did not receive any money.
He added that the reasons he raised alarm on social media were because of how Efe treated him with disdain and how the public thought he was now rich but selfish.
Young Duu furthered that he has no bad feeling against Carter Efe, stating that he had to call him out so as to set the record straight.
In his word, “After recording and shooting the video for the song, I did not hear from him again. A few months passed before I reached out to him. He asked for my account number, claiming he would give me N500,000.”
“To date, he has not given me the money, and he has not taken me to any show. The reason I raised alarm on the matter online is that everyone thinks I’m a millionaire.”
“Whenever I reached out to Carter, how he responded was like I’m a nobody. That was why I raised the alarm online on the matter because I felt like a fool. People would not understand. They would be thinking that I’m a stingy person”.
