“Junior Pope’s death resulted from carelessness of boat drivers” – Eyewitness speaks out

Popular Nigerian actor Junior Pope lost his life in a boat crash reportedly caused by the reckless behavior of boat drivers.

The tragic incident occurred as the crew was returning from a movie scene, leaving several others missing and injured.

According to an eyewitness and fellow movie producer, Stanley, who shared the harrowing details in a live Instagram video, the accident occurred when two boats collided due to the dangerous maneuvers of the speed boat drivers.

In a bid to impress and showcase their skills, the drivers were swerving dangerously on the water, leading to the fatal crash.

Stanley further revealed that the negligence extended beyond reckless driving. Shockingly, the boat drivers and passengers were not equipped with life jackets during the journey.

He pointed out that life jackets are typically rented out by a separate group of people, highlighting a grave oversight that could have contributed to the tragic outcome.

The aftermath of the accident was heart-wrenching, with Jnr Pope’s wife rushing to the scene upon receiving the distressing call.

She arrived to find her husband’s lifeless body being pulled from the water.

As rescue and recovery efforts continue, Stanley disclosed that several people remain missing under the water. Search operations are set to resume the following day.
