Nigerian sensational singer, Ric Hassani, has finally cleared the air about his rumored relationship with colleague Waje.
Sometime in 2021, reports made the rounds that the popular Nigerian singers were in a romantic relationship and were set to tie the knot.
Waje further fueled the dating rumor when she shared a loved-up photo of herself and Ric on her Instagram page and captioned it, “It’s time.”
Omawumi, Waje’s friend and colleague, also hinted that the two were getting married in a comment she left on the post.
“Besto Asoebi Loading ehhhhh! Congratulations guys @officialwaje,” she wrote.

However, during a recent interview, Ric debunked rumors of an affair with Waje.
Speaking on their relationship during an interview on HOTFM, he noted that they are good friends and not dating.
When asked why he and Waje pulled the engagement stunt in 2021, he noted that it was a mere cruise and it was Waje’s idea.
“I am not in a relationship with Waje. We were just catching cruise. It was Waje, this was completely Waje. I found out about our love the same time. I was just staying quiet to see what would happen, and it was interesting”, he said.
