Popular Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Sarkodie has triggered mixed reactions online after he fires shots at Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido in new hit song dubbed “Brag”.
38-year-old Sarkodie who has been in the music industry for over 19 years speaks on Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy and his rise to Stardom in the new song.
In the lyrics of the song, Sarkodie names Burna Boy as new cat alongside Asake and Black Sherif and rates himself above Wizkid and Davido.
Dishing out his exceptional rapping skills, Sarkodie said Wizkid came into the African music industry known as Afrobeats when he was already doing music.
The, superstar singer David Adeleke professionally known as Davido came when he was already improving the music industry.
He added that Grammy Award Winner Odogwu later came alongside Black Sherif and Asake, the “Lonely at the top” hitmaker.
He added that if they want to compare him to anyone then people should talk about Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole.
In his words; “Wizkid came, I was already doing it, Davido started, I was improving it, then Odogwu came through Black Sherif & Asake”.
He added; “My biggest competition is Kendrick and Cole.”
