“I’m now the new street king, the old king has been impeached” – Portable’s ex-signee behind his arrest brags

Manny Monie, the ex-signee of controversial singer, Portable Omolalomi who’s behind the crooner’s arrest has taken to social media to brag mightily.

Portable Omolalomi was arrested on Friday 31st March, over an alleged assault on Manny Monie. The singer was however granted bail yesterday, Monday 3rd April, after being arraigned before the court.

Bragging about his might, Manny Monie claimed that he’s the new king of the street. According to him, the old king has been impeached and he has taken over. He also described himself as the King of Petition.

Recall, GbExtra Blog reported that Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable Omolalomi has been granted bail by a Magistrate Court sitting in Ifo, Ifo local government area of Ogun State.

The Zazu singer was arraigned in court this morning, April 3, on a three-count charge bordering on ass@ult and theft of musical equipment.

The court granted him bail to the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in the same amount. The court ruled that both sureties must have landed properties near the court.

The judge ruled that Portable is to remain at the Ilaro correctional center until he meets the bail condition, and adjourned the case to April 26.

The charges against portable read, “That you, Badmus Habeebat Okikiola, M, A.KA Portable, and others now at large on the 28th day of March, 2023 at 11am at Odogwu Bar, Oke-Osa, Ilogbo, Ifo in the Ifo Magisterial District did willfully cause or inflict physical injury on one Inspector Hammed Moshood ‘m’ with your elbow on his nose which caused blood to gush out from his nose and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 4 (1) of the Violence against persons & Prohibition Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2017.

“That you, Badmus Okikiola A.KA Portable on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did resist to be arrested by Inspector Hammed Moshood ‘m’, ASP Gregory Iyoha ‘m’, ASP Kunle Badmus ‘m’ after serving you with Police Invitation Letter on the 20 day of January, 2023 for the offences you committed when they were about to discharge their duty with warrant of arrest on you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 197 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2006.”

Portable’s Counsel, Adodo Destiny, had prayed the court to grant the defendant bail.

Delivering his ruling on application for bail made by his counsel, Magistrate A.S Shoneye said the offences were bailable and granted him bail with bail bond of N300,000, two sureties who must reside within the jurisdiction of the honorable court.

The court, however ruled that, the defendant be transferred to the Ilaro correctional centre, pending the time his bail requirements were met. The case was adjourned till April 26 for the commencement of trial.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, while parading Portable before journalists at the command’s headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta on Friday, had said the singer was arrested for allegedly assaulting one Osimusi Emmanuel.

Oyeyemi added that Portable also attacked and assaulted police officers who came to his bar to effect his arrest.
