“I was paraded as a millionaire, but it didn’t reflect in my account” – #BBMzansi season 1 winner, Mandla begs for financial support

Winner of Big Brother Mzansi season 1, Mandla Hlatshwayo, has cried out about the challenges which he’s been keeping a secret.

The reality TV star took to his Twitter page on Friday and begged fans for financial support, saying that after he won the maiden edition of the show in 2014, he was paraded as a millionaire but it did not reflect in his bank account.

Mandla released his bank details in a statement and noted that any amount which can be crowdfunded for him will be sufficient.

He said he should have humbled himself and be grateful for the R625,000 prize money, while exploring other streams of income instead of burning bridges with his fanbase.

He wrote; “Hoping NOT to come across as a sore loser but whilst we at it, The truth is…”

The BBMzansi winner explained; “I was paraded as a millionaire even though that’s not what reflected in my bank account but it was my reaction (outburst) upon discovery that didn’t help me address the situation with the powers that be.

I should have humbled myself by being grateful for the 625k which was more than enough to kick start my spaza dreams and found another way to balance the difference instead of burning lucrative brigdes like a fanbase who would given anything for that humble kid from the Vaal. With all that said dear beloved we’re here for the balance of that metre + interest! Ka kopo tswe tswe, Anything will do.”
