Barry Jhay reveals why he turned down Davido's DMW contract

Nigerian singer, Oluwakayode Junior Balogun better known as Barry Jhay in a recent interview has disclosed that Davido Adeleke tried signing him to his record label, DMW.

Barry Jhay, the son of iconic late Fuji artist, Ayinde Barrister made this known during the interview on the podcast, Echoo Room hosted by Quincy Jonze.

In the clip, Barry Jhay, the “Aiye” hitmaker said he rejected Davido contract offered to him to join DMW through his lawyer, Bobo Fred Ajudua.

Speaking further, Barry Jay who said he met Davido through the late Obama DMW noted that as at that time, Davido already has three artistes that include, Mayorkun, Dremo, and Peruzzi.

He utters that he sees competition if he enters Davido’s DMW and he wasn’t ready for it because that is not what he actually needed.
