I was 17 when I got my first N20M endorsement deal from MTN — Davido (Video)

Ace Nigerian singer, Davido has disclosed that he bagged a multimillion-naira ambassadorial deal when he was 17 years old.

Speaking during a recent interview, he said that he had just two songs when a telecommunication firm gave him an endorsement deal worth N20 million.

The ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ said it was a big deal for his family as none of them had never seen that kind of money.

Davido said: “I remember when MTN, a telecommunication company came and they were like, they want to do endorsement, but then he (dad) was like, how much, and I said 20 million. I was 17. Nobody has seen that kind of money.

“Wow, this is from Music, and it’s off like two songs, of course. I’m like, ‘Daddy, see, we can do this’.

“He looking at it, he built me a studio and gave me some money to run my stuff and did my first album, and it came out really really successful.”
