I ran a record label for 4 years and I never took a dime from my artistes – Davido (Video)

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has recounted the journey as a music records label owner and it gathered massive attentions online.

The CEO of DMW record label revealed in a recent interview that he never collected a dime from any of his signed artists.

It is worth noting that Davido’s commitment to nurturing talents under his label, DMW, has always been evident. Following his exit from HKN music, he founded his record label in 2016 and he signed the likes of Mayorkun, Idowest, Yonda, Ayanfe, Perruzi amongst others.

Davido stated that in the first four years of launching his music record label, he managed his artists without taking any money from them.

In his words, “My label is like a family thing, I ran a label for Four years and I did not take a dime from my artists until recent time……..”
