President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu while delivering his acceptance speech disclosed that his wife, Oluremi Tinubu will not longer return as the Senator of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
Recall that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared winner of the 2023 presidential election.
According to the results read out by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, Tinubu polled a total of 8,794,726 to defeat his closest rivals and candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP who scored 6,984, 520 and 6,101,533 respectively.
However, Tinubu revealed that his wife won’t be senator again rather she will be his housewife and the first lady of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Oluremi Tinubu who has 3 children for Tinubu was the first lady of Lagos State between 1999 – 2007. She is a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2011 – till date.
