Founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie has advised Nigerian parents not to buy phones for any of their kids who is not in the university.
He gave the advise in a video shared on his Facebook page, noting that children having phones at such a young age exposes them to a lot of vices.
Ibiyeomie spoke on the heels of the recently leaked controversial tape of a 10-year-old female student of Chrisland school and her male peers.
The clergyman said that kids can only be allowed to use phones under strict supervision.
He said; “Don’t buy a phone for any child who has not gone to the university. It may sound very awkward. I know you are too civilised, but don’t do it.
“Don’t buy a phone, it is not civilisation, phones and tablets, many things pop up, they can use your own, let them use your own phones. Buy a landline to put it in your parlour.”
