Former US President, Barack Obama has shared his summer playlist for the year 2022 and popular Nigerian music superstars, Wizkid and Davido, were noticeably absent.
On Tuesday, Obama took to his social media page to share the playlist of 35 songs and Nigerians quickly trooped to his page to check the Nigerian artistes that made the list.
Singers, Burna Boy, Tems, BNXN formerly known as Buju and Pheels, were on the revered list with their hit tracks, Last Last, Vibe Out and Finesse respectively.
Obama posted the list with the caption: “Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together. Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?”.
