Grammy winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid has described his relationship with Burna Boy as the ‘family’ type.
The ‘Essence’ hit maker said they are like family, while recounting how he and Burna Boy linked up in the studio to record the hit song, Ginger.
Speaking in an interview, Big Wiz said the ‘Last Last’ crooner was working on his “African Giant” album and they were supposed to collaborate on a song for the tracklist.
Wizkid recalled being under the influence of alcohol when he arrived at the studio, and when the beat was played, they immediately started recording.
The Starboy Entertainment boss said there was great energy between them and noted that whenever artistes with great energy work together, the music is bound to be amazing.
Wizkid said; “Me and Burna Boy, that’s blood right, that’s family. He hit me up like, he was working on African Giant album and we were supposed to make a record for that one. And I went to the studio, I remember I was so drunk.
“I got in there, they played the beat and we just started going back and forth. You know me and Burna, it’s like family. We have great energy in the room. When you have two great people in the room they’re bound to make amazing music.”
