Fast-rising Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye beats the five-year record held by her senior colleague and box office record breaker, Funke Akindele, at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
She had been nominated alongside top contenders including, Roselyn Ngissah’s “Red Carpet”, Funke Akindele’s “Battle On Buka Street”, Grace Wacuka’s “Married to Work”, Mercy Johnson‘s “Battle On Buka Street”, and Mercy Johnson Onogie‘s “Passport.”
Bimbo Ademoye emerged victorious in the Best Actress in a Comedy/TV Series category, triumphing over strong contenders such as Funke Akindele and Mercy Johnson, among others.
The organizers of the show expressed their delight on Twitter, announcing Bimbo Ademoye as the winner and conveying their excitement about this fast-rising actress’s achievement.
