Popular Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has taken to social media to react after he misses out on the AMVCA 2023 nominees list.
Recall GbExtra Blog had earlier reported that MultiChoice, the organizers of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), made public the list of nominees for the 2023 edition on Sunday, April 16th, 2023.
The event was hosted by Bisola Aiyeola and Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang.
However, Kunle Remi who is well known for the acclaimed name “Saro” in 2022 blockbuster movie, Anikulapo has been trending online as his name was nowhere to be found on the 2023 AMVCA nominees list.
Despite the fact that Anikulapo movie by Kunle Afolayan gets nominated for overall best movie, the lead actor of the movie Kunle Remi “Saro” who was special in the movie get no nomination.
Kunle Afolayan, the “Anikulapo” movie producer bags 16 awards, also lead actress Bimbo Ademoye “Arolake” bags several award except Kunle Remi.
Reacting to this, Kunle Remi who is seemingly pained with the development used maturity while reacting to the omission by AMVCA in a post shared via his official Instagram page.
In the video, Kunle Remi jokingly bragged that supposed he was nominated in any of the categories he is so sure that he would have won.
Speaking further, Kunle Remi thanks his fans for the kind gesture towards him by his fans after finding out that his name was not on the list.
Kunle Remi wrote; “I have been seen all the tags after the AMVCA nomination announcement. It would be nonchalant not appreciate the love, calls and messages. Thank you kindred.💗 .
First of, congratulations to all my friends/colleagues this year won’t be great without y’all’s amazing work and effort. God save una, cos if I Dey the categories I for win 😂😂😂 (Joke) before una say otherwise. Let the best man win ❤️
