Speaking with Sunday Scoop, the actress said, “I used to be bothered about my small stature when I started acting. It was a big challenge for me to get roles at that time because some producers complained about my look.
“They used to tell me that I did not look the path. However, over the years, that has stopped. The latest job I got was because of my stature. I am now comfortable in my skin and it is my selling point. Thankfully, my self esteem was never affected.”

Tragically, Adejumoke’s life was cut short at the young age of 40, leaving an indelible mark on the Nigerian entertainment industry. Her passing on April 6, 2024, was met with an outpouring of grief and profound loss from her fans, colleagues, and the broader Nollywood community.
The brother of the late Jumoke Aderounmu has publicly criticized actress Funke Akindele for her insincere display of grief.
Jumoke, an upcoming movie star, tragically passed away just hours ago. Filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi broke the news, which was later confirmed by one of Jumoke’s cousins.
He further revealed that Jumoke had attempted to reach out to Funke several times, even sending another protege of Funke Akindele, Paschaline Alex, to her. Despite these efforts, Funke did not respond to Jumoke’s calls before her untimely death.
