Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has bagged an honorary doctorate degree from the Triune Biblical University, New York, USA.
He made this known in a post on his official Instagram page on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 as he noted that he was conferred with Doctor of peace and security management/international relations.
The famous Yoruba nation agitator shared photos of him in a graduation gown while holding the degree certificate.
In July last year, Igboho was arrested and detained in Cotonou, Benin Republic over alleged falsification of his passport.
Prior to that he was declared wanted by Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS) for after a raid was carried out in his residence and stockpiled weapons were discovered.
Taking to his Instagram page on Tuesday, Igboho wrote: “Congratulations to me as I was conferred Doctor of peace and security management/international relations with a specialization in war/conflict and peace studies from Triune Biblical University, USA.”
Some of those who witnessed the occasion are; leader of the Yoruba self-determination movement, Banji Akintoye, vice chairman of the Yoruba self-determination movement; Banji Ayiloge, amongst others.
