International Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke also known as Davido, on Monday night performed at Abia Governor, Alex Otti’s post-inauguration reception.
Otti was sworn in as the new governor of Abia state at the inauguration held which held in Umuahia Township Stadium.
He took his oath of office at midday and was sworn in by the Abia Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Lilian Abai.
Davido thrilled guests with some of his hit song at the Inauguration dinner which held in the night.
He performed Aye as the first song and moved on to Assurance, which was originally released for his wife, Chioma.
A fan @bonario89 who shared the video, wrote; “We also have Nigeria’s biggest artist @davido with us at the reception for @alexottiofr”.
Earlier in the day, some dignitaries at the event include Labour Party vice presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, who represented the presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Others are former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who did not attend President Bola Tinubu’s swearing-in at the Eagle Square.
A video posted by @sabiradio, saw the singer performing the song in his signature energetic style.
