Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable has recounted on how he gained his fame and recognitions with the help of some Afrobeat musicians.
The ‘Zazoo’ crooner made it known via his recent Instagram post that he became successful after meeting Wizkid, who gave him a whooping amount of $3,000.
According to him, the money has been the stepping stone to his greater heights even though he got ripped. He furthered that Indigenous rapper, Olamide Badoo blessed him with fans, who have been loyal to him.
Portable also mentioned that he got a lot of help from British rapper, Skepta, who collaborated with him for the hit song ‘Tony Montana’s.
In his words, “Machala gave me 30 bills of $100 even though they ripped me. Olamide blessed me with fans, the 30% I collected made me successful till date. Skepta helped me with fans. I’m still successful”.
