Mercedes Benz GLE Debt: Singer Portable breaks silence following police arrest

Nigerian artiste, Portable Omolalomi has delivered a message of resilience and unwavering faith amid his arrest by the police.

In a poignant Instagram post, the controversial crooner hailed God to be greater than everything.

He wrote: โ€œGOD IS BIGGER THAN EVERYTHING Amen if you believe so. God Over Everything ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™.โ€

The post which didnโ€™t provide any update about his arrest left fans speculating on whether he has been released or not.

Recall that Portable, found himself in trouble on Tuesday, 14th May when he was arrested by the Lagos State Police.

The arrest revolved around an alleged outstanding debt concerning a Mercedes Benz GLE.

Itโ€™s reported that Portable acquired the GLE for N27 million but only settled N13 million initially. Following this partial payment, the car dealer reportedly contacted Portable regarding the outstanding balance.

However, Portable purportedly declined to complete the remaining payment, citing mechanical issues with the vehicle.

As per Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, Portable was arrested after the car dealer filed a complaint.

Videos circulating across online platforms show the moment officers bundled Portable into their car after he resisted arrest.

Portable in a bid to escape being apprehended was seen in a video scaling a gate but was later caught.
