Biafra activist Nnamdi Kanu’s trial is set to take a new dimension. According to Newsone reports, Justice John Tsoho, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, has hinted on changing the venue for the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court Abuja, has fixed April 8 for ruling on a preliminary objection filed by the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, challenging the validity of the 15 amended charges filed against him by the Federal Government.

Justice Nyako fixed the date after counsel for Kanu, Mike Ozekhome (SAN) as well as prosecution counsel, Shuaibu Labaran, had adopted arguments for and against the defendant’s preliminary objection.

Drama in court as DSS, judge insist Nnamdi Kanu can’t wear outfit with ‘lion head’ design

The Department of State Services (DSS) says it cannot allow Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to wear clothes with an insignia of a lion’s head.

The contentious outfit is known as ‘isi agu’ in south-east Nigeria. It is a traditional garb that is usually worn on special occasions.

Mike Ezekhome, lead counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday, decried the deteriorating health of his client. Ezekhome lamented that Kanu may go blind in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.
