Khadijah Okunnu is the first woman to run for president in Nigeria’s history. On the 3rd of January 2022, Khadijah Okunnu Lamidi announced her candidacy for President of Nigeria to the entire public.
At a press conference in Lagos, Khadijah Okunnu revealed her interest as a candidate running for the post of Nigeria president. She stated that she is interested in the post because she believes Nigeria has a brighter future.
Okunnu goes on to say that she had the power to unite the youths together, which would lead to the country’s immense potential being unleashed.

Khadijah attended the University of Lagos Staff School & Childville School, Yaba for her primary education. SHe proceeded to Atlantic Hall School Maryland for her secondary education.
She presently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Hons) from the University of Bolton (RAK Campus in the United Arab Emirates). She also bagged a Masters’s degree in Strategic Project Management (SPM) from HeriotWatt University, Dubai.
Khadijah flew back to Nigeria to serve her father’s land through the NYSC program. While in service, she taught Physics and Chemistry at a Lagos State Government Secondary School.

After her NYSC program, she worked at the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) for four years. She moved into entrepreneurship after quitting her position at LASAA.
Khadijah is the founder and current CEO of Slice Media Solution, an advertising agency in Nigeria. She is also a member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
