I’m godfather to Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy – Singer Oritsefemi (Video)

In a recent statement, Popular Nigerian singer Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele, popularly known as Oritsefemi disclosed that he is a godfather to Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.

Backing up his point while with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, singer Oritsefemi said he had already made money from music before the trio came into limelight.

According to him, he encouraged Wizkid, Davido, and Buna Boy to do music and by extension he is their godfather.

In his words; “I had already made money [from the music industry] when some people were sleeping [yet to come into limelight].

“Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, so many of them [young artists], I encouraged them. I’m like their godfather.

“Even some female celebrities who are now trolling me on social media, I accommodated them in my mansion in Lekki back in the days. Even Burna Boy, I once accommodated him.”

In similar news, Oritsefemi claimed that Nollywood actress, Caroline Danjuma, also known as Carolyna Hutchings, was legally married to Davido’s late friend and associate, Tagbo Umeike.

According to him, he never wanted to marry his estranged wife, Nabila Fash, but she pressured him into marrying her after Caroline told her to do so following her marriage to Tagbo.

Speaking in the candid chat, Oritsefemi said: “I told my ex-wife that I only need a baby boy. That was our agreement. I never intended to marry her. It was Caroline Danjuma. Caroline went and did a court wedding with the late Tagbo. After the wedding, she told Nabila that she had married Tagbo and urged her to make sure I marry her.”

It was Caroline who advised Nabila to get married to me. She said I am a rough diamond and that Nabila’s success was lying on me. So that was it. When she asked me that she wanted to marry me, I accepted because she had had about three miscarriages for me.”

Tagbo tragically passed away on his birthday, October 3, 2017, while reportedly celebrating with Davido and other friends. Following his death, Caroline Danjuma publicly confronted Davido on social media, accusing him of involvement.

Davido denied the allegations and responded to the controversy in his hit song “Fia,” telling her to “save your drama.”

An autopsy later revealed that alcohol played a significant role in Tagbo’s death. The results indicated that he had both alcohol and drugs in his system, which could induce the early stages of hypothermia and ultimately lead to death.
