The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday arrested former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos.
According to Channel’s TV, Obiano, who has been on the Commission’s watchlist, was arrested at about 8.30pm. He was reportedly on his way out of the country to Houston, Texas in the United States.

Obiano’s arrest comes hours after his wife received a hot slap at his successor, Charles Soludo’s inauguration.
When contacted on the telephone, the spokesman for the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the former governors’ arrest, promising to provide more details later. PUNCH reported.
