Nigerian Grammy award-winning afrobeat singer, Burna Boy reportedly raked in more than N3 billion from his sold out concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA.

According to BusinessDay, he generated the sum from ticket sales which went for as low as $80 with an average of $350 and as high as $2,125.

So, going by its calculations using average sales of N145,365.50 ($350) multiplied by the total available capacity for a 20,789 arena, with the official exchange rate of N415.33, the total amount generated is $7,276,150 (N3,022,003,379.50).

Burna Boy is the first Nigerian to headline a concert titled ‘One Night in Space’ in Madison Square Garden which lasted for 2 hours concert.

The Nigerian singer joins late pop stars, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Mariah Carey, Adele, Rihanna, Jay Z and Justin Bieber as artistes who have sold out the world’s most famous arena.

Many claimed that Burna Boy is currently giving other Nigerian artists high blood pressure.
