Black Sherif whose real name is Mohammad Ismail Sherif is a Ghanaian musician, songwriter and hip hop artist. He hails from Ashanti Region of Ghana, Konongo “Zongo” where he was born and raised by his parents.

Fast raising artist Black Sherif started his music career as a dancer but later switched to music while in secondary school. In 2019, Black Sherif released his first song titled “ Cry For Me” but the song wasn’t a hit.
However, he got his first hit song in 2020 thanks to his single “Money”. Later in 2021, Black Sherif posted a viral freestyle on his Twitter page.
After the freestyle went viral, the post caught the attention of music producer Hammer, Sarkodie, and several Ghanaian musicians and artists.
Days after the freestyle went viral, Black Sherif was seen hanging out with rap heavyweight and Sarkcess music CEO, Sarkodie. In 2022 Blacko released his “Kwaku The Traveller” which became a hit song. The single became first Ghana song to go number 1 in Nigeria music chart.
