The remains of late Nollywood actor John Paul Obumneme Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope has been buried today, May 17th.
The burial is currently taking place at his hometown Ukehe, in Nsukka, igboetiti LGA of Enugu State.
It can be recalled that Junior Pope was a victim of a boat accident on his way to Asaba to shoot a movie. Pope lost his life when their boat capsized in River Niger in Anambra state. He died alongside three crew members.
The Nigerian-Cameroonian born left behind his three boys and wife, Jennifer Awele Okpuno, who he married in July 2014.
Photos and video capturing his burial event emerged online as it showed family and friends mourning Pope’s death.
A photo showed his wife and kids, dressed in all black attires in the church for his burial mass.
It is crucial to know that a final thanksgiving mass will be held on Sunday, May 19 at St. Peter’s Parish Ukche Nsukkaa, Igboetiti LGA, Enugu.
